“The most beautiful thing I’ve learned over the past few years is to be at home anywhere.” ~ Karissa Nickish
Whether in Ukraine in a 500 square foot cottage, or in America where we actually have our own bedroom.
I remember once hearing about another missionary family getting a big home and wondering why God called us to this tiny place, where our living room was also our bedroom and dining room – depending on where the table was. (our couch went around the dining room table. At night, we pulled out the couch for our bed.) But the Lord reprimanded me.
Sometimes we are tempted to question why others get or do something when we can’t…but God has a different calling on each of our lives. What I have found though, There is always something beautiful! Something to thank Him for!
No matter where God has you now, create or find the beauty in the moment and place God has you. Peace and joy come not from your circumstances or what you own, but in thanking the Lord and appreciating the simple daily things.
What are you thankful for? I am thankful for this pretty mug my kids gifted me to replace chippy. It is such a joy to drink out of!
“Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.” Philippians 4:11
I’m thankful that you are keeping your blog and that I’ll still be able to see your pretty, and meaningful posts!!
